Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy: DBT and Trauma Treatment

Equine-Assisted DBt and Trauma Treatment

Liz is currently enrolled in the University of Denver Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy post-graduate certificate program for Licensed Mental Health Psychotherapists. She is building on our current evidence-based program to provide our patients the opportunity engage in equine-assisted psychotherapy, which will combine Liz’s expertise in DBT, trauma and PTSD, and her lifelong love of working with horses. Liz is also developing a manual for providing EA-DBT, and is extremely excited to be able to provide this experiential and life-changing treatment for patients.

We are looking forward to being able to provide both EAP-DBT and TF-EAP (trauma-focused) in summer of 2024, serving patients in New Jersey and New York. We will be providing the opportunity to engage in both individual and group EAP-DBT sessions, and also will be offering Equine-Assisted DBT Skills groups in conjunction with our comprehensive DBT program.
