The Amazing, True Story of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy: How one woman saved millions.


In her early life, Marsha Linehan, was in various mental hospitals for suicide attempts, self-harm, depression and hopelessness. While in a bleak white room she realized she was in her own personal hell. She then understood she was not alone in this hell. She saw women like herself, suffering with little hope and no treatment options. In that moment she made a pledge that she would get herself out of hell and go back for everyone else.

She ended up doing that, by creating Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). DBT is the most effective treatment for self-harm, suicidality, Borderline Personality disorder. This treatment is now used to treat millions worldwide who suffer with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, substance abuse, eating disorders and various other mental illness.
